Jesus welcomes children, and so do St John’s! We warmly invite children to be part of our church family. On a Sunday morning, children will stay in for the first song in the service, before being taken across to the church hall for their own, age-appropriate Bible teaching. This is what we call Sunday Club. They will be learning from the same passage that the adults will be learning from in the sermon, so that we can all learn together and from each other. Sunday club includes games and craft to help the children learn.
After the sermon, the children re-join us, and are invited to feed back what they have been learning and show everyone the crafts they have made. There will then be a children’s song to finish.
St John's takes its duty and obligation to protect all extremely seriously. We have adopted the national Church of England's robust procedures and guidelines. You can find out more about the national policies and procedures at www.churchofengland.org/safeguarding.
